Total Category Purchasing of Both UPC- and Non-UPC-Coded Products
Homescan Fresh Foods Consumer Panel measures total category
purchasing of both UPC- and non-UPC-coded products. By measuring
the performance of items sold by non-standardized weight,
volume and quantity, the service provides a more robust and
accurate view of the marketplace than has been available in
the past.
Consisting of 15,000 households nationwide, the service provides
a national and regional measure of sales volume and consumer
purchase dynamics across all retail outlets. Eight local markets
are also available (New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta,
Baltimore/Washington, San Antonio, Philadelphia and San Francisco).
Tracking the same households over time lets marketers analyze
the complete purchase mix of consumers, classify them based
on actual purchase behavior and measure the impact of marketing
efforts on purchasing.

in the following categories:
- Bakery
