Introduction to Spectra systems Prerequisites: None > Download Agenda Overview: The Introduction to Spectra systems Training Session is an "introductory" class for those individuals who are new to the Spectra systems, or for students who need a quick refresher on the basic operation and fundamentals. This course begins with an overview of Spectra systems data sources and methodology. Users will be taken through the basic tools used in Spectra systems and taught how to create and manipulate a report. Students will then focus attention on designing specific sales/merchandising strategies as they relate to various key accounts. This has been proven to build solid relationships with the trade while maximizing sales opportunities. With the exception of the initial overview, the training is hands-on and solution focused.
Since the format of the training class is a combination of lecture and hands-on exercises, we encourage students to bring any current business situations to the class.
Business Applications: Students will learn the basics of Spectra as well as navigation through the system. An introductory overview of the reports and managers within the system is given. Students will learn keystroking and interpretation of data as they work through report generation and manipulation of key reports and learn how to analyze what drives their brand's consumers and how to effectively drive sales.

Winning at WalMart with Spectra systems Prerequisites: None > Download Agenda Overview: This class is designed as an introduction to the Spectra systems platform for WalMart vendor teams. There is no prerequisite for this class. The class begins with a lecture on the basics of Spectra systems methodology. Hands-on navigation is taught while addressing product profiles, clustering for Store of the Community and allocating to the clusters.
Business Applications: Putting together a presentation for the buyer can be a time consuming process, using Spectra systems data to highlight how the consumer's demographics match to the retailer can drive a winning presentation.

Advanced Spectra systems Training Prerequisites: Introduction to Spectra systems plus 6 months experience using the system. > Download Agenda Overview: The Advanced Spectra systems Training Session is a more comprehensive class for those individuals who are currently using Spectra. Users will be taken through in-depth case studies which utilize advanced Spectra systems functionality and "real-life" business scenarios. Students will then focus attention on designing specific sales/merchandising strategies as they relate to various key accounts and brands. Additional navigation and interpretation will be covered through report generation and manipulation of manager functionalities. This session is a combination of lecture and hands-on training.
Business Applications: The case studies will teach the user to import store facts, create advanced lists and blend profile segments through the use of Managers. Clustering and Targeting will also be covered as they relate to the retail environment. This training session will delve into how custom data can increase product knowledge through available measures and segments. Understanding the local market consumer will also be covered using Targeting and the Scarborough data source. By the end of this session, the user will have a deeper understanding of the functionalities and abilities of Spectra systems.

Introduction to Spectra systems on the Web for the EnLighten User Prerequisites: None. Overview: This is a full day classroom session designed towards introducing EnLighten users to the web based version of Spectra systems. The morning will begin with a brief lecture which will include Spectra systems methodology and databases followed by a discussion of a comparison between Spectra systems and EnLighten. The remainder of the day will be spent hands-on in the system to learn screen navigation, output manipulation, interpretation and application. Specific business issues are addressed through case studies during the navigation session. Each attendee should have an assigned Spectra systems ID and password in order to use the system.
