ACNielsen SCANTRACK Services are the recognized industry standard for scanner-based marketing and sales information, gathered weekly from a sample of more than 4,800 stores representing more than 800 retailers in 52 major markets. Providing basic tracking information at multiple levels ranging from category-level total U.S. all-outlet sales volume to single item performance in one market, SCANTRACK establishes the common language needed to facilitate product business reviews, sales meetings and market analyses. ACNielsen provides customers with the ability to monitor performance trends and evaluate price and promotion effectiveness by tracking and forecasting non-promoted as well as promotional product movement.

ACNielsen SCANTRACK Services comprise the following:

  • SCANTRACK Basic Services, providing detailed product movement and merchandising information for food stores and food/drug combos
  • Procision, adding the breadth of drug stores and mass merchandisers to SCANTRACK food store information
