TDLinx Channel Database
TDLinx delivers the industry-accepted standard TDLinx Channel Database with a unique TDLinx Code for every retail location in the supermarket, mass merchandiser, drug store, club, liquor, cigarette outlet, and convenience store trade channels; as well as for every on-premise outlet in the dining, bar/nightclub, lodging, recreation, transportation, caterer and military channels. TDLinx also provides codes that track the owner account relationships — from report-to to ultimate parent. For retail, that includes every buying office, grocery supplier and holding company. For on-premise, the national chains are tracked by corporate ownership and by marketing group. Updated daily and delivered to clients monthly, the database encompasses over 739,000 store/outlets, 11,500 accounts and up to five layers of account hierarchy.
TDLinx Codes
TDLinx is the Universal Language of Stores, Outlets and Accounts. TDLinx Codes allow any two parties to communicate about locations – internally, within departments and across systems, and externally, with trading partners and service providers — and to integrate and aggregate disparate sources of data.
TDLinx Structure
The TDLinx hierarchies allow data and activity to be rolled up vertically by both account and supplier affiliation to gain a comprehensive view of the retailer. The TDLinx market configurations facilitate analyses by any standard county-based market definition, including media, scanner and sales geographies.
RetailSync(TM) Process
This consultative service bureau process links customer master files or retail information to the corresponding TDLinx Codes – store-to-store and account-to-account. Client internal files remain untouched and intact. TDLinx does not overwrite or delete any customer information but creates a link file between each customer number and TDLinx Code. This RetailSync file acts as a translator and data organizer. It is proofed and maintained on a monthly basis.
TDLinx Network
The TDLinx Network includes leading consumer packaged goods manufacturers, alcohol beverage suppliers and leading-edge service providers includes micromarketing, scanner research, co-marketing agencies, merchandising, direct mail, coupon redemption, sampling and demonstration, internet couponing, quality assurance, field automation, promotion planning, FSl and in-store media companies. Tremendous efficiencies are achieved when these promotion, marketing, and merchandising suppliers speak code-to-code with the companies they serve. Marketing activity can be converted into data to feed promotional-effectiveness and account-profitability models.
